Evade tank is the only way to go, and with the bad AI (they attack the closest wanzer no matter what) it was pretty easy to have your 70%+ evade tank be the only person attacked each round. I was also a little annoyed at the way evasion worked in this game. Also, the forced guest team on Darrill's path was pretty annoying to use. I thought Elsa's story was much more interesting than Darrill's. I also enjoyed the slightly bigger party of 6(+) that 4 offered over the small skirmish sized party from the third game.

Thinking about the best order to attack to make full use of my links while conserving AP to be able to actually attack was a fun addition. I also really liked playing around with the link system.

I thought the bazooka was a cool weapon, though I think I read it might have been in an earlier game in the series as well. I really liked how easy/streamlined the skill system was in 4. The only other game in the series I had played was 3 when it first came out, and it was one of my favorite games as a teenager, but I haven't played it in probably 15 years or so. I played this for the first time a month or two ago.
